Prof. Assoc. Dr. Vjollca Dibra is the Dean of the Faculty of Philology at the University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren and a professor in World Literature, Contemporary Albanian Literature, and Comparative Literature. She completed her doctoral studies at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University and a postdoctoral program at the University of Graz (Austria), focusing on cultural and interdisciplinary studies.
She has an extensive academic and research career, lecturing in fields such as world literature, gender studies, and the philosophy of culture. Prof. Dibra is the author of several scientific works and monographs, including her latest publication “The Writer and the Man (Ezra Pound, Ivo Andrić, Peter Handke)”, as well as numerous articles indexed in Scopus and other international journals in the field of humanities.
As Dean, she has successfully led processes of accreditation, curriculum development, and international cooperation projects within programs such as Erasmus+ and ORCA, strengthening the academic and international profile of the Faculty of Philology.
Her research interests include the role of women in literature, the relationship between literature and philosophy, cultural identity, and intercultural dialogue.
Prof. Dibra is also actively involved in cultural initiatives, international conferences, and student forums, promoting critical thinking, creativity, and dialogue between universities and the wider community.
